INSECTS make up about 80 per cent of the total number of living beings on the planet. Yet we know very little about them, and at times refer pejoratively to them as bugs and creepy crawlies. The site under review implores a rethink. And it uses the unlikely medium of art.

imageInspired sketches and interactive art show how predators and parasites help control populations of other organisms; how scavengers and decomposers help clean up the environment and recycle nutrients for plants.

The site engages one with pollinators as they ensure the renewal of vegetation. It also engages one with entomologists, some working in the field, collecting and recording, others working in the laboratory or classroom, and yet a few others caught up with regulatory entomology.
