Very good piece.
FOR car companies facing declining sales, this is good news. But they have to go green to avail its benefits. The world's biggest online auction company has launched a new site dedicated to what it calls cars running on green fuels.
eBay's “Green Driving” site lets car buyers choose from hybrid cars, vehicles powered by electricity, diesel, high-MPG (mile per gallon) gas, ethanol and compressed natural gas (CNG), and find links to related auctions on eBay Motors. Users can check out "compare fuel types" page that factors in emissions and annual fuel cost. For instance, users are likely to find that electric cars have the least emissions and incur the lowest refueling costs. eBay has sold cars on its eBay Motors site since 2000, though the company does not say how much revenue it generates from the site.
