Feng already has a daughter.

The incident sparked public anger after Feng’s sister posted photographs showing the mother lying next to her stillborn baby, BBC reported. To allay public anger, the authorities apologised to Feng and said they were investigating the case. Chinese law prohibits abortion beyond six months, but many are forced to have abortions days before their due dates as authorities try to meet birth quotas set by Beijing to control the country’s exploding population.
