Kudankulam protests
A fresh round of public protests began against the nuclear power plant at Kudankulam in Tamil Nadu last week. One person was killed when police tear-gassed protesters marching towards the nuclear plant on September 10. A petition seeking the Supreme Court's intervention was filed the next day.
