-- Fisherfolk of Pakistan's Sindh province have refused to hand over their catch to paramilitary force Rangers from the World Fisheries Day on November 21. The Rangers have been posted in Sindh's Badin district to keep vigil on the border with India. But the Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum (PFF) alleges that they illegally grab 65 per cent of the catch from lakes and other freshwater bodies. "Rangers have deprived fisherfolk of catch worth millions of rupees. Fisherfolk get only five per cent of the catch. Thirty five per cent goes to the government," it said.
