A recent announcement by Union minister for water resources Arjun Charan Sethi shows that although India's mega river interlinking project is at a nascent stage, it is already in choppy waters. Sethi revealed that the river networking task force would try to evolve a consensus among states on solutions to problems that are likely to crop up in drought and flood-prone areas.
