SciDev is a website supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperative Agency, International Development Research Centre and UK Department for International Development, and sponsored by Nature and Science in association with the Third World Academy of Sciences. A must read for all those who keenly follow studies on scientific and developmental issues. The website has published incisive reviews of the latest books on diverse
topics. Another interesting feature is the news updates
section, where all updates from January to March 2002 are available. The most innovative section, though, is 'How do I', which gives one a quick run-down on how to present a paper, and has some very useful tips for aspiring science journos. The jobs and grants section, however, needs a little more attention. The well-structured 'dossier' section and the comprehensive section on meetings are an added incentive to surf one's way to this website. Latin America, Middle East, South and East Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, all find a place in the regional gateway. The section contains a
collection of articles relevant to this region. India finds a special mention in the South and East Asia section.
