-- The Pakistan government will soon launch an integrated 'Environment Action Plan' to curb pollution. Under the plan, special attention will be given to air pollution, particularly to cut automobile emissions. Already, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is making headway in the automobile sector. Government officials say that concerted efforts will be made to promote awareness about the benefits of CNG. Polluting industries will be penalised for violating laws.
