An inherited evolutionary change in the current human population is leading the women to have their first child at an early age. A team of British, Australian and American scientists have shown the profound effect of the genetic and social factors on the timing of human reproduction. Research reveals that women who reproduce earlier in their lives have higher Darwinian fitness and their ability to reproduce is well adapted to the environment. The trend is passed on through natural selection, a process which passes on the fittest genes to the successive generations through evolution .The genes influencing an early age of reproduction in female population have hence become more common.
