-- Environmental activists in Hong Kong recently staged a protest against Nestle, a multinational food corporation, alleging that the company had failed to keep its promise to stop the use of genetically-modified (gm) ingredients in its products. During the protest, a vehicle blocked the exit of the company's factory to stop the dispatch of products. A banner stating "No more lies, no more gm food" was displayed at the entrance of the factory. Activists of Greenpeace, an environmental pressure group, claim that two Nestle products -- fresh soya milk and beancurd dessert -- contain gm ingredients. According to the group, in February 2000, Nestle had promised to phase out the use of gm ingredients.
