The increase will be equivalent to the annual amount of electricity generated by 30 nuclear power reactors, each with a capacity of 1.1 million kilowatts. it -related electricity demand of the country in 2000 is estimated to be 41.8 billion kilowatt per hour (kw/h) 4.3 per cent of the total demand for electricity. This demand is expected to double to 86 billion kw/h in 2005, and to 326.8 billion kw/h in 2010.
