Environment-friendly bus

On the other hand, the commuters in this city are continuing with the old iron relics," said transport minister Parvez Hashmi. These new bus-stops will house a telephone booth for local and std calls and kiosks for snacks and coffee.

For the bus-stop neon sign advertisements, polluting gensets will be replaced by solar-powered photo-voltaic cells. These cells are devices that convert sunlight into electricity, by-passing thermodynamic cycles and mechanical generators. Of late, numerous bus-stops in the city were using diesel gensets for advertising at junctions already heavily polluted.
