according to doctors at the Royal Northern Infirmary in Inverness in the Scottish highlands, moving house may be a significant factor in contracting asthma and allergic diseases. The doctors say that increasing mobility of families in developed countries could contribute to the rise of asthma in children.
The health experts said new environmental allergens in a new house or other factors involved in the moving of a house may be more serious than factors like pollution or central heating. Jane Austin and her collegues admitted that presently there are a few evidences to prove this. However, British Medical Journal recently suggested a possible link between moving houses and contracting asthma.
The survey covering more than 1,500 children in 12-14 years age group, indicates that asthma, coughing and eczema attacked more those who lived for five years or less in their homes.
