Mining to begin in Aravali: The Supreme Court, on October 8, allowed mining building materials in 600 hectares of the Aravali ranges in
Haryana once the state government formulates a eco-restoration scheme. The state has to frame transparent rules and regulations, for giving the
mining fields on lease to bidders, within 90 days. On May 8, the apex court had suspended all mining activities in the Aravalis.
