The bitter half

-- Women have always had it bad...patriarchy has ensured that down the generations. A look at women in the various spheres of life, in education, workplaces, health status and in power show that men are still cornering the dress circle seats in the world theatre. Discriminated against in terms of education, pay, political participation, they are better off than the men in only 1 manner: more men than women suffer from AIDS. Especially in the South, and among them, in the "dark continent", Africa, women are down and out. Indeed, they would hardly agree to accept for themselves the cheating term of "the better half".
