Sundarvan - an animal park in Ahmedabad, where children are encouraged to feed birds, climb trees, touch animals ...anything to excite their curiosity about nature - may soon cease to exist. A new road now being planned will plough right through it. Ahmedabad-based Centre for Environment Education (CEE) has begun a Save Sundarvan Campaign. CEE has asked the children to write letters, expressing their feelings about Sundarvan. These pleas will be used to pressurise the city authorities to wind up the road plans.
