You are part of a community of thousands of bicycle enthusiasts alive and pedalling. India’s first social networking site for cyclists brings them together at www.cyclists.in.

Here over 3,400 members of the network blog, share videos, photographs and tips, hold discussions and announce tours. From amateur riders to BMXers, there are over 100 groups one can join. Or one can start one’s own.

The website, though, looks a bit like Indian roads: all kinds of traffic coming from all directions. The home page can go 15 pages deep, with three columns replete with hyperlinked red lines. Just the kind of place to run into an old man in formal trousers doing stunts on a bicycle in the middle of a busy road.
