Aboriginals Tasmania Aistralia
In the third week of January this year, the Royal Albert Museum in Exeter, in south-west England, returned skulls of aboriginal people of Tasmania, Australia to community representatives. But the Tasmanian aboriginal community is not impressed. It has warned it will step up its 20-year long Repatriation of Cultural Properties Project -- a campaign for return of aboriginal remains from European museums . The community's secretary, Trudy Maluga, said that the process is taking very long.
The aboriginal community is also preparing to contest the Federal Government's move to tender out the Aboriginal Legal Service. Funds for state service run out in September this year.
