Search Tips

	1 Type in the terms you are looking for in your search
	2 You can select one of the following options to narrow your search

	Match all my search terms (AND)
	Results contain ALL the terms you type
	e.g. if you search for air pollution, and check this box, each article displayed will contain the word “air” AND the word “pollution” in the text.
	Example: 'air + pollution' will return articles having both the terms 'air' and 'pollution' air , pollution' will result in articles having even one of the terms - air or pollution.

	*Match any* of my search terms (OR)** Results contain at least one of the terms you type.
	Example: if you search for air pollution, and check this box, articles displayed will contain either the word “air” OR “pollution” OR both.

	Match the phrase exactly
	Results will contain the exact phrase as entered in the same order. Example: if you search for air pollution, and check this box, articles, displayed will contain the phrase “air pollution” exactly.

	Search Between Dates:
	Show results only between these dates.

	Stories by author
	Show results only by this author

	Search by section
	Show results only from this section.

	Search keywords only
	Use this to show articles linked to major topics. The search will not scan the text of the story.
