Bangalore-Mysore corridor leads nowhere

on october6, 2006 the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (kspcb) withdrew the consent for establishment it had granted to Bangalore-based Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (nice) for the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Project (bmicp). The primary goal of this project is to build a six-lane expressway (see map Carriageway) between the two cities.

Scapegoats

The state government of Delhi has identified the "real culprit" behind the city's street congestion -- the ubiquitous cycle-rickshaw. Funny, considering that the harmless three-wheeler is the only non-polluting commercial transport vehicle on the streets.
