A Public Interest Petition filed in the Delhi High Court seeks disciplinary action against G P Phondke, director of the National Institute of Science Communication, a part of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. A division bench comprising Justice Y K Sabharwal and Justice C K Mahajan has ordered the ministry for science and technology and the director-general of CSIR to file an affidavit on their stand. Arun Jaitley, senior counsel, appearing for CSIR told the bench that the recommendations of the D K Sangal committee that found Phondke and other senior officials guilty, is under consideration of the authority concerned.
