No excessive mining

Cases of mining in excess approved in the review of mining plan were reported by the Indian Bureau of Mines (a subordinate office under Ministry of Mines), the mining ministry said in the Lok Sabha.

At least 27 such cases were reported in seven states in 2018-19. Of these, 10 cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh.

Rat-hole mining

No rat-hole mining is being done in any coal mine of Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries, Pralhad Joshi said in the Lok Sabha.
