The other six were breathing normally. For the clients of Washington-based psychologist, Susan Mikesell, people are grappling with the emotional tangles of reproductive science. Some feel that these seven babies are an inescapable reminder of everything that can go right and wrong in the high-tech making of children. For Kristin Hansen, a spokesperson for conservative Family Research Council, the parents' decision not to abort some of the foetuses is "a wonderful example for this country".
