Who is to blame for the world's environmental woes-the poor nations or the rich countries? The developed countries show high resource consumption patterns that make them the bigger polluters. But this is not to say that the developing nations are off the high population growth weak environmental regulations and use of outdated technologies are a dangerous subset of the North's environmental misbehaviour. The citizen of the world on their part are pretty fair and objective about assigning responsibility-the denizens of the industrialised nations tend to unhesitanly accept their greater culpability; and the developing world is also now acknowledging its share of the blame.
