making Water Everybody's Business: Practice and Policy of Water Harvesting , the latest publication of the Centre for Science and Environment ( cse ), was released on June 5, 2001, in Indore by Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh. The function was jointly organised by cse and Nai Duniya, an Indore-based media organisation. It was attended by industrialists, academicians, water experts, officials of the district administration, journalists and concerned citizens of Indore.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh pointed out that the book motivates readers to develop a people-led water management paradigm. He said that the case studies incorporated in the book suggest that by decentralising water management, the problem of water scarcity can be easily addressed. Abhay Chajjlani, the proprietor of Nai Duniya, hailed the efforts of cse for constantly providing the society with crucial information relating to sound environmental management.
