RO technology

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on January 10 granted the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change two months time to finalise the policy on use of Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology in India.

Jojari river pollution

The NGT on January 15, 2020 directed the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board to take action against industrial units illegally withdrawing groundwater and polluting the environment along the Jojari river, Jodhpur.

Wood used as fuel

The NGT on January 14 directed the Gujarat Pollution Control Board to take action against polluting industries operating in the industrial area of Dahod, using wood as fuel and lacking the requisite authorisations. 

Steps to contain air and water pollution

Justices Arun Mishra and Deepak Gupta of the Supreme Court on January 13, 2020 passed a series of directions to contain air and water pollution plaguing Delhi and the National Capital Region.
