Exhibition>> Medical Documents • Serbia
An exhibition at the Belgrade Cultural Center’s Podrum Gallery uses X-rays, medical reports, and personal testimonies to document the role of violence in Serbian society. Museum of Violence focuses on acts of violence motivated by discrimination, domestic violence and violence against minorities and other marginalised elements of society.
Curator Nevena Ilic told the news agency Radio Free Europe, “Everyone knows that violence harms people in general, but the effect is stronger when you see the injuries, bruises, swelling on the X-rays and read medical reports.” The exhibits will be on show in Belgrade till March 15. Organisers plan to take the exhibition around Serbia.
