  • Target based approach adopted in sanitation will never make India successful in Sanitation. All the stakeholders use to talk about community approaches but use only supply base and target approach. This is truely serious

  • It is applalling to note that India has the highest disease burden which is almost half of the global disease burden due to lack of sanitation. Innovation and political priority for sanitation are key to improving sanitation in a sustainable way. We have to invest more on research and development and extension, building capacities and awareness in people on sanitation.
