The Andhra Pradesh National Green Corps has come up with a series of activity books on environment education titled, Our World. Developed in accordance with the National Council of Educational Research and Training's (ncert) syllabi for environment education, the books cater to students of standard i-standard viii.

The initial books of the series (for students of standard i and standard ii) introduce the problems of poaching and deforestation through stories. Illustrations drive home concerns related to air pollution. The texts for the upper-primary level (Class iii, iv and v) move away from the ncert syllabus at a few points. But the transgression is not always constructive: for example, the book could have done well with more on issues of shelter and clothing. However, the activities for classes vii and viii are better conceived and cover issues of land-use pattern and housing. Interesting facts on nature and environment feature as snippets in the entire series.
