Ghaziabad initiates rainwater harvesting
Rainwater Harvesting Ghaziabad Development Authority India
People normally do not associate Ghaziabad with any ground-breaking social movement. But now the time has come to make a difference. The Ghaziabad Development Authority (gda) in Ghaziabad town, Uttar Pradesh, wants to promote rainwater harvesting, and in a unique way - by learning from experience! It has invited land-owners and builders who have already installed rainwater harvesting systems in their premises to come forward and share their experiences with the gda. The gda also plans to reward those individuals for using this eco-friendly method. To this effect, the gda has brought out a notice in leading Delhi-based English dailies. Although the copy could have done with some better editing, the intentions are noble, and praiseworthy.
