Hybrid energy

Malaysia's International Centre for Application of Solar Energy (case) has set up centres using hybrid energy, which consists of a combination of renewable sources -- solar, wind, and biomass. These case- sponsored systems are at present working in Sarawak, Malaysia. This would prove to be an economical source of energy ( us $4 per kw) compared to fossil fuel-based energy. case general manager, Dilkawar Singh, said that his organisation will be taking up technical assistance and financial arrangements from India and other developing countries for setting up such hybrid rural energy systems.
