>> The Cuban government has said it will soon offer broader Internet access through 118 outlets around the country, although it will maintain restrictions for access at home. At present, unrestricted access to Internet is available only to select institutions, professionals and luxury hotels catering to tourists.

>> Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio and Christie’s auction house have raised US $38.8 million through a charity art auction and donations. The proceeds from The 11th Hour Auction will be used to benefit environmental and wildlife conservation causes.
