In a letter to the Uzbek leader, the lawmakers said the release of journalists Salijon Abdurakhmanov and Dilmurod Saidov and human rights advocate Akzam Turgunov would “further our important bilateral relationship”.

The court relied on incriminating internal emails from Apple’s Senior Vice President, Eddy Cue, to each of the publishers named in the lawsuit. It also relied on testimony from the late Steve Jobs, which came from transcripts of interviews with Walter Isaacson, the author of Jobs’ biography.
