The Bureau of Indian Standards has developed a quality standard for government departments and public service organisations.
The standard -- IS 15700:2005 -- measures service delivery and can be applied to all departments and organisations dealing directly with the public.
The Advertising Standards Authority of the UK has ruled that two TV commercials of a shampoo had misled viewers and asked the manufacturers, Proctor & Gamble, to modify them. The ads had claimed the shampoo could leave the hair "100 per cent dandruff-free". What was meant was that regular use of the product made it impossible to spot dandruff flakes from about half a metre away.
