>> Aboriginal children in the Australian state of Queensland can now be published authors, courtesy a non-profit publishing firm Budburra Books. It has started a programme that will allow students of aboriginal communities to write, illustrate and publish their own books.

>> France has passed a law against Internet piracy. Illegal downloaders will be sent a warning on e-mail first. They will be served a printed notice if they continue, and finally must appear before a judge if they offend again. The judge can impose a fine or suspend their access to the Internet.
