Footage of Australian naturalist Steve Irwin's death will never be broadcast, his widow Terri has said in her first interview since his death in early September. "What purpose would that serve?" she asked presenter Barbara Walters in an interview with US programme 20/20. "Crocodile Hunter" Irwin was killed by a stingray during a diving expedition off the Australian coast.

Some pandals during the recent Durga puja in Kolkata sported 'green messages'. In Kidderpore for example, the goddess was shown arriving on a palanquin -- a silent protest against vehicular pollution, according to organisers. Although the message might have been subtle, since Durga is said to use either boat or elephant, both non polluting, it was an effort, nevertheless.
