>> Georgia has launched a new Russian-language television channel that critics say will fan tensions with Russia, still high after the brief 2008 war between the two neighbours. They believe the channel will be an instrument for anti-Russia propaganda.
>> China’s most popular search engine, Baidu, was targeted by a group claiming to be the Iranian Cyber Army. The site was down for at least four hours on January 12. Visitors to the site were greeted with the message: “This site has been hacked by Iranian Cyber Army”. The message was accompanied by a picture of the national flag of Iran.
