Palakkad in Kerala is set to become the first e-revenue district in the country with the computerization of its five taluks and 156 village offices.
The process is in the final stages of completion. The entire file-flow process will be done electronically from the village level to the district level.
District Collector K S Srinivas said the new system would also make tracking of files easier. The introduction of e-file flow system would also
enable the officer concerned to clear more number of files.
Assistant Collector K Biju, who is supervising the implementation of the programme said the state government had allotted an amount of Rs 6.75
crore under the Modernising of Government Programme.
