The Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies is conducting the study alongwith local government engineering departments, with the British Overseas Development Agency providing the financial backing. The pre-feasibility study aims to establish the energy potential, on the basis of which a pilot project would be developed for large-scale commercial generation of electricity from wind.
