Flooded pakistan battles for survival: The UN estimates the floods sweeping Pakistan killed more than 1,500 people by August 9.Homes of around 15 million people were either destroyed or damaged in the region's worst floods in 80 years.
Poor weather made it difficult for helicopters to deliver food to some part of the Swat Valley. "It's hard to get supplies there. I would like to emphasise we are moving by foot or donkey. We are unable to get to most places of Swat Valley," said Maurizio Giuliano, spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid.
