To Pakistan with love: UAE will donate a 320 mw power plant to Pakistan to help tackle the energy crisis in the country. Pakistan has been facing 12 hour-long power cuts. Pakistan's Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf and UAE authorities signed a memorandum of understanding on February 4 to work out the details of implementing the agreement for dismantling and shifting the gas-fired plant. UAE will pay for dismantling, packing and shifting the plant to Pakistan, which is expected to help ease the power problem. The power plant is expected to reach the country by mid-February.
