If a non-nuclear nation is bullied by a nuclear weapon state, global help will be rushed to it, was the assurance of the UN Security Council which - adopted a resolution pledging help for signatories to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, at a meeting, on April 12. Non-aligned nations, claimed that the promise fell short of providing meaningful and abholute security to non-nuclear pacifists.

The 3-week long meeting at New York to finalise the Draft Action Plan for the 4th World Conference on Women, scheduled to be held in September 1995 at Beijing, is over. But women's groups accuse industrialised countries of being uncooperative. The US, they stress,,is out to scuttle a proposal for replenishin ,g the UN budget devoted to women's upliftment.
