Tiger Habitat preservation UK
India's tiger lovers have found new supporters. uk importers of marble and stone products have declared they will not use material that has been sourced from India's tiger habitats.
A uk-based campaigning group, the Environmental Investigation Agency (eia), recently conducted a survey among visitors at the London Stone Show asking potential importers of Indian stone products if they were prepared to purchase materials sourced from tiger habitats. Members from a cross-section of the industry, from importers and mine management consultants to architects and landscape gardeners, signed a petition saying they would not import or use such materials.
