The Magnetic North Pole is shifting and that too very rapidly

There is unusual activity at the North Pole. The magnetic north pole is sliding away from the Arctic region of Canada into Siberia. It has always tended to drift at about a few kilometres every year. From 9 km/year in the mid 1990s it picked up speed to 55 km/year.
