Several countries recorded their highest additions of cases positive to the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in a 24-hour period, the World Health Organization reported June 28, 2020.
The world added a record 189,077 cases to the tally of patients of the ensuing COVID-19 disease.

Among them, 4,193,674 were active cases.
The proportion of serious / critical patients, however, has halved to 1 per cent of them.
