Cyclone Remal causes chaos in Bangladesh and West Bengal, India: What we know so far
At least 7 people have been killed, millions left without power due to cyclone; around 8,00,000 people have been evacuated by authorities in Bangladesh
On May 27, 2024, a severe cyclonic storm moved nearly northwards over coastal Bangladesh and the adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal. At least seven people were killed and millions were left without power because of the devastating winds of up to 120 kilometres per hour and storm surges.
Around 8,00,000 people have been evacuated by authorities in Bangladesh. The country is predicted to get more rainfall from the storm as compared to West Bengal. This is being caused by Cyclone Remal. Watch the video to know more.
