    Great Article... I think we should take all the measures whether operational or regulatory before starting this so called "Gold Rush". Otherwise the situation would be similar to what we are observing in case of global climate change negotiation just TALKS, PROTOCOLS, throwing responsibilities on each other....RESULT:: LEADING TO NOWHERE.

  • Excellent Article!! An eyeopener. I have my own doubt that unsustainable mining of seabed will destroy the endemic species and marine ecosystem including corals and other marine species which may disturb the marine ecological balance and may drastically lower down the capacity of ocean/sea waters to absorb CO2 from its present level which may further escalate chances of global warming and climate change!!

  • The article is great. I am an environmental researcher, doing my Phd in department of Law in the area of Deep sea Mining a study on environmental and legal dimensions.
