Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal declared a weekend curfew in the city after meeting with the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal April 15, 2021, according to NDTV. The step has been taken to curtail the rising cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the city.
Auditoriums, malls, gyms and spas will be shut down and cinema theatres will be allowed with a third of the capacity, according to the government. Eating out will be closed and only home deliveries of food will be allowed. Weekend markets will be allowed with restrictions.
Essential activities, including weddings planned already, will be allowed with curfew passes.
