>> The Western Australian government says a cement company, which damaged Aboriginal rock art in the state’s north-west, has escaped with a “slap on the wrist”. Holcim Australia, formerly known as Cemex, was ordered by a court to spend US $280,000 improving its management practices, employing an indigenous relations officer and conducting archaeological surveys.

>> Stephanie Lenz of California won a partial victory against record company Universal Music that forced her to remove a video she had posted on YouTube. The video was of her child dancing to the song Let’s Go Crazy. A California judge ruled Lenz is entitled to at least recover her legal fees
