Participatory Guarantee System brings credibility to small 'Organic' farmers

Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) is a new initiative for 'Organic' product certification in India. It helps small scale and marginal farmers, who otherwise can not afford a costly third party certification, get their product certified on a minimal cost. PGS is a farmer centric bottom up approach in 'Organic' product certification, where a small group of farmers come together to provide you the quality assurance of the product. It is also pocket friendly for farmers as well as bring down the product cost for consumers.
